9:44 pm	buhay at trabaho In all honesty, what lingers most in my mind nowadays is work. this isn't even a topic that i would like to discuss here, but on the path of life that i tread right now, work is like the hard, unforgiving pavement upon which i walk, or run, depending on the circumstances. Work right now means getting on my two feet and trudging forward in midnoon, in the dark, or even through pounding rain, or the pounding blaring voice of my boss, again, depending on the circumstances. ... When you fall down upon this asphalt road, especially if you were running, you can get burns, scrapes, bruises, and generally other words that describe pain. Then you get up, and start going forward again. Whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger. True. But where would I be in life if there wasn't this road for me to tread on right? It seems that i need this. It seems that to go forward, i have to push, to walk, and to run on this road. ... Isn't it why it's called a "path" in life? ... ... 7:47 pm	bushi I've just watched The Last Samurai for the second time, ang ganda talaga. I've written and re-written this part of my entry, in the previous versions I was explaining the movie(I don't know who to), but i've finally decided that I don't have to explain or detail anything. This is how much I believe in this movie and the values and lessons within it, that i'm sort of making it my responsibility to encourage people to watch it, not only so I can justify this entry, but because by watching it, people will gain some insight into what makes me tick. 10:53 pm	"maybe the old songs, will bring back the old times" on the bus with Kaoko tonight, the radio was on a really nice station(cause it played really nice songs) anyway, a song that i rarely hear( my dad plays this song a lot a long time ago, so i was briefly reminded of my carefree childhood days) was starting as the bus started to cruise. [insert beautiful, quiet guitar plucking here] then..[two harmonizing male voices singing...] "FIIIIND THE COOOOST OF FREEEE-DOM, BURIED IN THEEEE GROUUUUND... ...MOOOOTHER EAAARTH WILL SWAAAALLOW YOU, LAY YOUR BODYYYY DOOOWN" (find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground. mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down) beautiful? [[driver-of-bus-turns-knob-to-tune-in-to-cheesy-station-with-host-producing-artificial-laughing-sound- HERE]] and suddenly, the poetic lyrics of the childhood song turn into the much aired(GASP!), widely popular(GROAN!), multi-platinum(BLING!).... "...why don't you tell me where it hurts now babeeeeh!?..." MAN! b_d i was once happy with mymp doing their stuff before, and that was the POINT. THEIR stuff. almost all the performers today in the country are just that. performers. performing the songs of OTHER PEOPLE. man, haven't you people been exposed to enough beautiful music that you are inspired to make music of your own? when did you last make an original track hmm? but life is hard. whatever sells right? "..why don't you tell me when you last made your own sooong?.." kudos to musicians like rivermaya, bamboo, hale(even) who find it in themselves to reach into the depths of wherever to produce songs which try and share pieces of their own souls to the listeners, even when there is a phantasmagorically huge market for remakes. thank you. kudos to orange and lemons, i really like.. "..umuwi ka na baby, hindi ako sanay ng wala ka, mahirap ang mag-isa. at sa gabi hinahanaphanap kitaaah. Hanggang kailan ako maghihintay na makasama kang muli sa buhay kong puno ng pag hihirap? At tanging ikaw lang ang pumapawi sa mga luha at naglalagay ng ngiti sa mga labi... umuwi ka na babehhh umuwi ka na babeeehhh.." hanep :) incidentally still on the topic, my sister and a number of her classmates are annoyed by a boy in school, so they substitute his name to the song like this: "..umuwi ka na BO-RIS, umuwi ka na BO-RIS..." HAHAHAHAHAH!!! see? that's way more entertaining than hearing a remake again and again isn't it? "umuwi ka na BO-RIS...umuwi ka na bo-ris .. 9:49 pm	more of today, on today i'm gonna sing a bit first ehem hmm hmm "blackbird singing in the dead of the niiiiiiight....." "take these broken wings and learn to fly, all your life...." now imagine this song,(those who know it, BEATLES btw) imagine this song on a dark, cold rainy day, as you're reading a good book, lounging on a nice couch, as your lungs constantly fill with the crisp air that smells of trees and wet earth...i'm rambling.. but heck, this IS MY JOURNAL, and i'm not wasting any paper aren't I? just bandwidth.. i think, I ain't one of them tecchie types either HEHEHEHEHEH >_< "you were only waiting for this moment to arrive..." i got some good pants earlier today at work, i got a pair which has leather braided strings in front instead of a button fly of zipper, it was intended for my mom but it doesn't fit her since it's a male-cut type pant-thing, but it looks so damn cool, and am now deciding to buy a pair in size 27-28 heheheheh maybe next week! i also got a beige colored polo...NICE.
